The Environment and Climate Mobilities Network (ECMN) seeks to establish a robust collaboration among researchers, decision makers and practitioners from all over the world, and to foster innovative ideas for transdisciplinary research through our annual conference.
The third annual ECMN Conference will build on the successes of the first two editions by
gathering researchers and other professionals from all disciplines, continents, and career
stages to examine the nexus of environment, climate and mobilities. With a range of presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities, it offers a platform for the ECMN community to share approaches and methods, discuss findings, and build connections. We invite abstracts that align with ECMN’s focus, including migration, displacement, planned relocation, voluntary and involuntary immobile populations, as well as emerging forms of mobility in the context of climate change. Submissions may also address the concepts, narratives and processes that shape experiences, decisions, and outcomes in these areas. We welcome contributions from academic, policy and practice perspectives.
Call for Contributions:
- Submit your abstract (max. 250 words) by 10 March 2025 midnight CET.
- Link for abstract submission: https://www.climatemobilities.network/ecmn25
- The organizers are currently seeking funding for a limited number of grants for participants from the Global South, covering fees, travel, and accommodation. Please indicate your requirement for a grant when submitting your abstract.
- Participants choosing not to submit an abstract are also welcome to attend, up to a max of 180 participants in total. The registration link will be provided on the ECMN website at a later stage when we know how many abstracts have been accepted.
